The National Montford Point Marine Association, Atlanta Chapter has made great strides helping students accomplish their educational dreams and goals. Kendall Kennedy is a graduate of New Manchester High School in Douglasville Georgia. Kendall is the daughter of Wendell and Kim Kennedy. Kendall will attend Albany State University in the fall of 2022 where she will major in biology and minor in African-American studies. Justin Ferdinand | Justin Ferdinand is a graduate of Chapel Hill High School in Douglasville Georgia. He is the son of Alvin and Hillery Ferdinand. Justin will attend Kennesaw State University in the fall of 2022 where he plans to pursue his career goal of becoming a forensic scientist. |

Alaina graduated with honors with a 4.289 from DeKalb School of the Arts High School in DeKalb County School district. She is the daughter Neil and Shannon Crosslin. Alaina noted that 75 percent of the Montford Point Marines had been to college. Alaina will be a part of the next generation of successful black doctors, starting at the University of Georgia. |

Anya Ellis is a graduate of Hillgrove High School with a GPA of 3.96. She is the daughter of Valerie and Yianni Ellis. Anya is inspired by the Montford Point Marines, and this fuels her passion to make universal health care a reality for all. Anya plans to attend the Georgia Tech in the fall to begin her educational career pursuing a Biomedical Engineering degree. |

Kennedy is motivated by the story of the Montford Point Marines and thrives to be a catalyst for positive change. Kennedy plans to attend Cornell University in the fall to begin her educational journey pursuing a degree in Public Policy on a Law track. |
